The whole event took place in the 30th minute of the match. The referee had to stop the game when Mokhtar Tyagopi jumped on Juan Cal, who was supposed to hurt the French on racist grounds.
The referee of the meeting showed Thiagabi a yellow card for attacking the opponent, and only then did he ask, why such a strong reaction from the Valencia player. After a while, the players of the visiting team left the playground.
Valencia’s official profile wrote that the players had decided to return to the field and that Tiagapi had supported him. However, he was replaced by footballer Hugo Gillamon.
The “Bates” said their player had fallen victim to racism.
