Manchester City star Erling Haaland wants to help brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher finally make peace and resume their activities with Oasis.

The 22-year-old footballer was asked about the squad after Liam – a die-hard City fan like his brother – said on Twitter he would play for his disgruntled brother again if his favorite side beat Inter Milan in the Champions League final. “If Man City win the Champions League I will call my brother and bring back the cutie in the band,” the 50-year-old wrote in the since-deleted post.

In a new interview with ViaPlay, a reporter reports that Haaland posed with Noel Gallagher in the dressing room after City’s victory over Arsenal in late April (see below), and also cited Liam’s recent tweet. “Are you the man who put the Oasis together again?” the interviewer asked.

“Yeah, maybe they need a Norwegian guy to be a peacemaker to pick them up,” the athlete laughed.

The journalist continued: “I was a singer in the past, you could be the third [membro da banda]? “

Haaland replied: “That’s a good question.” “Yes, of course I could. Not that I would be, but of course I could.”

Currently, Haaland is the highlight of Manchester City, who won their third consecutive Premier League title last weekend. Today, the English national team is the favorite for the Champions League final against Inter.

Liam and Noel Gallagher split from Oasis in 2009 after a series of arguments over the years.

The band’s end came shortly after the brothers canceled a performance at the UK’s V Festival due to Liam’s laryngitis. In 2011, Noel stated that the show did not take place because his brother would, in fact, be “drunk”. With that, Liam sued the band’s partner, who ended up apologizing.
