Facebook has created a new app for conducting business meetings through virtual reality, Horizon Workrooms, where users can meet remotely, in a virtual space with avatars.
The tech giant, with this new app, intends to attract users of virtual meetings.
The necessary equipment (headset, virtual reality glasses) will cost $ 300 (about 256 euros) and weigh half a kilo.
People who don’t have this device can join meetings using a video call.
Up to 50 people will be able to attend these meetings, but only 16 people will be able to participate in the virtual reality space using avatars.
For the full virtual reality experience, users need a Facebook account.
