The Netherlands is already on the verge of another wave of epidemics. The number of positive tests has dropped by 44% in the past week compared to the previous week.

More than 21,000 people were tested positive, according to the National Institutes of Public Health; In the previous week it had crossed 37,000. This was the result of drastic measures, which were re-established a few weeks after they were elevated.

Susan van den Hoff of the Public Health Institute says: “We believe we have reached the peak or will reach it very soon. Regarding the trend we see in positive tests. This is in line with what we expected.”

The UK also saw a decline in the number of new epidemics, a 33 per cent drop between July 25 and 31 compared to the previous seven days.

Good chances when almost all restrictions in Scotland are expected to end on August 9th. However, some mitigation measures, including masks, may be practical.

In Italy, health services in the Lazio region promise that vaccines will continue despite their computer systems being stolen.

The region, which includes the capital – Rome, announced that it would not be possible to make a temporary appointment, but that all people who have already been vaccinated will receive them.

About 60 percent of Italy’s population is already vaccinated.

In Romania, doctors say a fourth wave is now underway. 230 new infections were reported on Monday, most of them in Bucharest and Timis County.

This is the highest number of cases registered in the last 2 months in 24 hours. The delta variant is growing rapidly in the country. Officials are increasing calls for vaccinations. 80% of new infections are not yet vaccinated.
