DrAccording to data from Zoom’s international director for video conferencing platform, Abby Smith, the EMEA region accounts for about 20% of the total technology turnover, which amounted to 3,660 million euros during the 2022 fiscal year.

In the EMEA region, the technology company earned 183 million euros between last November and January, the fourth quarter of its fiscal year, compared to 9.8 million in the same period in 2018, which means doubling its revenues by 19 in the past three years.

By geographical regions, the tech company, which does not provide detailed data, confirmed that Spain, Italy and Germany are among the “fastest growing” countries.

On the company’s plans for the future, Abby Smith explained that the technology aspires to become a “platform that unifies communications,” with products available in EMEA and “others to be launched in the coming weeks, with the goal of creating an easy, secure and flexible hybrid workplace.”

Smith referred to Zoom Phone, the company’s cloud phone system, Zoom Rooms, the global “software”-based video conferencing system that runs in conference rooms and its cloud call center.

And in the particular case of the Zoom phone, he stressed that it has a “significant growth pattern” after its launch in the United Kingdom and other countries, such as France and Germany.

In terms of the agreements it maintains in the EMEA region, the technology company ensures that it has an ecosystem of 1,771 companies covering about 80% of the territory.
