Cambé City Hall has raised the alert level of concern over the spread of dengue mosquitoes in the city. This is because the latest rapid survey of indicators for Aedes aegypti (LIRAa), which was conducted at the end of October, indicated a significant increase in the index in the municipality, jumping from 0.7% to 1.1% on average.
But the situation in some neighborhoods is even more worrying. Five regions of the Cambé have a building index that may indicate the risk of an outbreak of dengue fever. With an ownership index of 6.81%, Chácara Santa Maria is the most concerning. But there is still a high level of alert with Jardins Alvorada, Guarani and Novo Bandeirantes, where out of every 100 homes visited, there are five outbreaks of dengue.
To control the spread of the dengue mosquito, City Hall is making a clean-up effort from next week. On Saturday (12) the task force will pass through the neighborhoods of Guarani and Cristal and on the 19th, through the downtown area and Cambé II.
Anderson Marcini Maronzi, director of monitoring, explains that the collection of objects will also take place in conjunction with a large-scale awareness campaign.
Under the collective effort, all kinds of materials that can accumulate water, such as furniture, frames, vases and appliances, will be collected. Aggregate (building material) is not counted in this calculation. Residents must leave items for disposal in front of homes the day before.
Towards the end of the month, collective efforts will remove waste from the neighborhoods of Santo Amaro and São Paulo on 26/11 and from Bandeirantes. According to the group work schedule, the Anna Rosa and Camp 4 districts will take place on December 10 and Jardim Selvino on the 17th of next month.
