WHO: Brazil’s donation to the Kovacs facility will accelerate the end of the pandemic

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus celebrated this quintaBrazil, Thursday (23), donated 10 million doses of vaccine against COVID-19 to the COVID-19 Facility Consortium. Adhanom said on Twitter that the measure would “accelerate the end of the epidemic”.

This action was announced on MondayThursday (20) by Queiroga. The minister stated at the time that in addition to the initial ten million doses, another 20 million doses can be donated at a later time, that is, at least 30 million units of the vaccine. Effective donation depends on expressions of interest and consent to receive the immunizing agent by the recipient country.
