There are many news and improvements that WhatsApp has brought to the users. Not all of them are immediately visible and therefore not all users immediately adopt them in their daily conversations.

Temporary messages fall into this category, being something very personalized. Now WhatsApp has refocused on temporary messages and made them more secure. Photos and videos that appear in this mode are now more secure with a simple change.

One of the latest novelties in WhatsApp has been temporary messages and the possibility to use them automatically and completely independently. This is not a new concept, but it took a while to come up with the most widely used messaging service on the internet.

All messages exchanged in a conversation are automatically removed after the time specified by the user. Thus, any history and every history simply disappears and users cannot control it later.

One of the issues identified in this mode is related to photos and videos. All the users who configured the download ended up with these on their smartphones. In fact, this behavior brought down the aura of privacy and security as the photos and videos were not deleted.

Change arrive now to WhatsApp and change this behavior. Photos and videos are no longer downloaded automatically. Anyone who tries to download these items will receive the above notification and will not be able to do so.

However, there are some points that need to be changed to provide more security and privacy. Photos and videos can still be viewed and downloaded on WhatsApp, simply by opening the existing menu and choosing the correct option.

This novelty will soon be available to everyone, Android and iOS, to ensure the expected security and privacy. Users are left to choose the temporary messages to make sure nothing is logged on the smartphone or WhatsApp-
