What would the world be like if only electric cars were on the road?

On trams, at least for now, the hope lies for a significantly cleaner world. Opinions are divided and the solution is not yet unanimous. A new report confirms the importance of these cars and shows what the world would look like if they were the only ones on the road.

Plans are being organized and in the medium/long term, the electric transition is expected to happen and bear fruit.  Despite the skeptics and non-believers, a new report highlights how much benefit we'd gain from just trams on the roads.
a American Lung Association published a report, arguing that the exclusive sale of 100% zero-emission passenger cars, by 2035, would bring "enormous public health benefits".  Although the document analyzes American reality, the truth is that it is an important sample and can be extrapolated to the rest of the world.








It is a pressing health issue for millions of people in the United States.  Fortunately, the goal of zero emissions passenger car sales and the resulting health impacts is within reach.

In the a report “Driving for Clean Air: The Health Benefits of Emission-Free Cars and Electricity,” the association explains that in 2050, the exclusive sale of 100% zero-emission passenger cars and the consequent improvement in air quality will lead to several important benefits: 89,300 fewer premature deaths; 2.2 million fewer asthma attacks; 10.7 million fewer workdays were lost;  that it $978 billion in public health benefits.
The study notes that these results will only be possible if, in 2035, the USA sells passenger cars that are completely 100% zero-emissions - as is the case in Europe's plan.  The American Lung Association confirms that trams do not emit polluting gases, which contributes to significantly reducing exposure to harmful air pollutants.
