“INo matter what challenges 2022 will continue to bring us, especially with the Omicron variant, we have one certainty: We are now better off than last year. This is how Boris Johnson begins his joint New Year’s message, just a few moments.

The UK is now “in an immeasurably better position”, says the British prime minister, but he warns that “revelers must remain vigilant”.

Boris Johnson gives an example of the country’s economic growth, noting that the number of workers is now greater than it was at the beginning of the pandemic, as well as increased investment.

The reason for all this. He defends, it’s about “the heroic, voluntary and brilliant response with which the British responded to the call for vaccination”.
