As of Tuesday, Vodafone Portugal is offering packages with fixed internet access speeds, via fibre, which can reach 10 Gbps for download and upload, ten times faster than the currently available solution.
Vodafone: 10Gbps is only available in Porto and Lisbon
Using the latest generation of fiber technology (XGS-PON), these speeds ensure that customers with unique internet usage needs can enjoy their service with maximum network speed, stability and lowest latency.
These are the cases of customers in the consumer sector who have multiple connected devices and extensive usage, or in the business sector, small and medium-sized companies that have Internet consumption habits that require increasingly higher speeds.
All Vodafone individual or business customers with a fixed fiber service can access fixed internet speeds of up to 10Gbps by adding the extra speed to their tariff plan. In this first phase, this new service is now available in the municipalities of Lisbon and Porto, and is gradually being expanded throughout the country.
