Viana do Castelo is hosting the 2023 edition of the Festa da Saúde, which runs from June 30 to July 2 in Jardim Publico and Jardim da Marina.
The Health Festival is a free event that aims to “provide visitors with a privileged space for access to information, communication with health professionals and a varied program of activities to promote health and well-being,” describes the municipality.
According to a statement, the 2023 Health Festival aims to contribute to improving health education, disease prevention, health promotion and healthy lifestyles.
This is an initiative of the Portuguese Society of Internal Medicine (SPMI) in collaboration with the Medical Service of the Local Health Unit of Alto Minho and the Municipality of Viana do Castelo.
This version constituted a program that includes activities for all family members, which included awareness activities, performances, lectures, training, physical and sports activities, concerts, stand-up, theater and performances.
The little ones can visit Hospital de Pequeninos, try CrossFit Kids classes, and play freely at PlayDay Familia.
The program also highlights the presence of Chef Hélio Loureiro, Contrapunto, Amadeus School of Music, Berry School of Music, Berry Song and Dance Ensemble, and comedians such as Pedro Rodríguez, João Bot Moreira and Pedro Silva, among others.
The event is also part of the program Viana do Castelo – European City of Sport 2023, also including various sports activities, such as the international 10 km race and the walking project with Doc Viana do Castelo, among others.
Thus, the 2023 Health Festival intends to contribute to the improvement of health culture, disease prevention, health promotion and healthy lifestyles.
