Mono and carbon fiber body
The Aventador LP 780-4’s carbon-fiber monocoque made it possible to reduce the weight to just 1,550 kg. The coupe version, which weighs 25 kg less than the Aventador S, offers the same weight / power ratio as the SVJ, 1.98 kg / hp, hitting 0-100 km / h in 2.8 seconds and reaching a speed of 355 km / h, with 720 Nm of maximum torque at 6750 rpm.
The VVT (Variable Valve Timing) and VIS (Variable Intake System) systems have been optimized to improve the torque curve. The powerful CCB braking system makes it possible to install from 100 km / h in just 30 metres.
Lateral control is improved by the four-wheel steering, which was introduced in Aventador S, ensuring agility at low and medium speeds, and increased stability at high speeds.
The Lamborghini Steering Dynamics Steering (LDS) on the front axle has been calibrated to provide instant connectivity and better input in tighter corners, while adapting to interact with the active steering on the rear axle: independent actuators respond in five milliseconds to movements of the driver at the wheel, allowing time adjustment Actual steering angles, which enhances cornering behavioral characteristics.
The Aventador LP 780-4 Ultimae offers four driving modes – Strada, Sport, Corsa and Ego – which allow the user to configure their parameters for optimal configuration of the Lamborghini’s Active Suspension System (LMS), traction control (interfering) with the engine, gearbox and system all-wheel drive), as well as the steering.
