UK warns of shortage of weapons to send to Ukraine
The Allies were “forced to buy more weapons for Kiev because they did not have enough weapons stockpiled domestically”.
British Defense Minister Ben Wallace warned on Friday that the international community was “running out of weapons” to send to Ukraine.
The allies “are forced to buy more weapons for Kiev because they don’t have enough weapons stockpiled domestically,” Wallace said.
“We saw the reality, we were running out of weapons,” he underlined in an interview with The Wall Street Journal.
Even so, he assured that the international community “expects to provide weapons and funds to Ukraine without the need to pressure the Ukrainian authorities to start negotiations with Russia.”
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg urged the NATO countries to “increase arms production as supplies run out” to Kiev.
