No point in ads, horrific pictures of diseases, or warnings from dentists – perfect oral hygiene People rarely follow her. But what if you had microbots ready to act as a toothbrush, dental floss, and flosser all at once? Are you investing to get perfect teeth? Well, that’s what the scientists at the University of Pennsylvania want.

In this case, they have developed a swarm of these tiny robots that will be able to use autonomous technology to accomplish the mundane task. But the intent here is not to be the solution to the zombies, but For people with movement limitations, such as damage to the brain and spine.

The robots are already being used in 3D models for testing, and are made of iron nanoparticles with magnetic properties capable of taking various shapes, such as bristles that remove bacterial plaque, while also being able to pour a substance that kills microbes out of the mouth instantly, such as mouthwash.

Some tests in real mouths show that they are able to adapt to many different tooth surfaces – that is, they can eventually work for everyone.

Edward Steiger, a senior researcher in the university’s College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, said in a press release.

Researchers also see the technology’s potential to apply the technology to treatments for older adults, helping dentists work faster and more effectively with some patients. The researchers say the idea arose at the beginning of combining interest in ferrous oxide nanoparticles, which can release hydrogen peroxide (“oxygen peroxide”), with research on magnetic fields in controlled environments.
