The UK Embassy in Brazil, in partnership with the Royal Society, will host, on 29 September 2021 (Wednesday), 10:00 am to 11:30 am (Eastern time), a webinar on ‘The Role of Hydrogen and Ammonia in the Zero Carbon Transition. “.

In addition to strengthening the relationship between the UK and Brazil in the field of clean energy, the event will see the participation of British government leaders and British and Brazilian experts in the field.

On schedule, confirmed speakers for the event will be: Peter Bruce – Founder and Chief Scientist of the Faraday Foundation. Daniela Carneiro – International Business Specialist at the Department for International Trade (DIT) in the UK Government; Bill David – Professor at Oxford University; Gilberto Januzzi – Professor at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp); Giovanni Machado – Director of the Brazilian Energy Research Company (EPE); Eugene McKenna – Managing Partner of Green Hydrogen at Johnson Matthey and Simon Wood – British Consul in Rio de Janeiro and Director of Climate and Energy at the British Mission in Brazil.

The event will be held on the Zoom platform and there will be simultaneous translation into Portuguese.
