For eight months working as legal director of TAP, in 2018, Fernando Medina’s wife will receive an award equivalent to more than two monthly salaries: in May 2019, a year after joining the airline, Stéphanie Sá da Silva will be contemplated with a bonus in the range of 19,570 euros According to Correo da Manha, this Saturday, March 18th.

The wife of the current Finance Minister and former Mayor of Lisbon earned a gross salary of about 9,500 euros per month at TAP, after she joined the airline on May 1, 2018 at the invitation of the private shareholder Atlantic Gateway, according to the same newspaper.

In the year Stephanie Sa da Silva joined, TAP recorded losses of €118m, with a negative result of €105.6m in the year the salary bonus was awarded (2019).

Correo da Manha recalls that Stephanie Sa da Silva joined TAP three years after joining Cuatrecasas, with Gonçalves Pereira providing legal advice to David Nellman in the privatization of TAP, in 2015.

When Niallmann left TAP, after the re-nationalization of the company in 2020, Stephanie Sá da Silva remained at the airline, having left the position in May 2022, the same day her husband was invited to join the government led by Antonio Costa.
