After the withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan, photos and videos of Taliban fighters wearing US military equipment surfaced.

According to the BBC, the United States left behind a total of 73 aircraft and helicopters, and nearly 100 vehicles and other equipment, unusable, according to US General Kenneth McKenzie. “These devices will never fly again,” he said.

The United States left abandoned MD-530 helicopters, used for reconnaissance and attack, and an A-29, as well as 43 U.S.-supplied MD-530s used by Afghan forces and 23 A-29s.

The BBC confirms that the cost of an A-29 is about $10 million.

A video clip published by Los Angeles Times reporter Nabih Boulos showed Taliban fighters with a CH-46 Sea Knight transport helicopter.

At least one C-130 Hercules transport aircraft has also been photographed on the runway. According to McKinsey, 70 mine-resistant tanks were also abandoned after their decommissioning.

But the list of materials does not stop there. There were also 27 military Humvee all-terrain vehicles left behind and an unspecified amount of missile defense system equipment.

In other parts of the country, Afghan forces fled without destroying or disabling the American equipment they were using.
