The name was probably the result of a bad translation nearly 500 years ago. And no, it’s not blue.
Wednesday was the day to look up at the sky: it was a rare “super blue moon” day.
During a supermoon, the Earth’s satellite is placed in the part of its orbit closest to Earth, specifically 357,344 kilometers from our planet.
