The latest Fan Edition in Samsung’s tablet segment happened with the Galaxy Tab S7 series, which was launched in 2021. The next generation Galaxy Tab S8, which is currently available, did not qualify for one of these variants, similar to what happened with Galaxy smartphones. S22.

But just when it seemed that Samsung was going to abandon this alternative, there were new rumors that the brand would release not even one, but two Fan Editions in the new series of Galaxy Tab S9 tablets.

The information arrives through websites SamMobile and GalaxyClub which have spotted two other different devices of this generation on Geekbench. On the well-known platform, the devices come with the SM-X516B and SM-X616B models.

It is then believed that these two devices will be Fan Edition variants integrated into the new Galaxy Tab S9 series.

The same platform also revealed that these two FE versions may arrive equipped with the same processor as the Galaxy A54 5G smartphone, that is, with the Exynos 1380 chip, owned by Samsung.

What we already know about the most advanced model Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra

However, in recent weeks, several sources, including leaker Ice Universe, have provided some specifications that the more advanced Tab S9 Ultra model will feature.

A well-known leaker says that the new S9 Ultra will have the same dimensions as its predecessor i.e. 208.6 x 326.4 x 5.5mm. With these benchmarks, we can expect the new Ultra to be equipped with a 14.6-inch display that will provide a resolution of 2960 x 1848 pixels.

Ice Universe reports that the new Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra will weigh 737 grams and carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Also inside the device is a massive 11,200 mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging.

Moreover, already old rumors have been circulating that the most advanced model of this new family of tablets will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor and up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM.

However, it wasn’t clear from any information whether the Snapdragon platform included here would be customized, as it is in the Galaxy S23 series, or if it was the common processor found in other Android models.
