The PlayStation 5 recorded its best-selling month of 2022 and topped the list of best-selling consoles in the UK in April.
At a time when the latest consoles are facing stock issues around the world, Sony Interactive Entertainment has made more units available on Her Majesty’s land and moved its PS5 from third to first place last month.
The PS5’s stock boost has allowed more people to finally buy its console and this has allowed Sony to sell more units than anything in the first 3 months of 2022.
According to GamesIndustry, PS5’s share increased by 59% in April compared to March, however, console sales declined by 51% compared to 2021 due to strong stock issues in the first 4 months of 2022.
With this, the Nintendo Switch took second place and the Xbox Series was pushed to third place. Shares of Microsoft consoles fell 59% compared to March, while Switch saw a slight decline.
Console sales are down 38% in the first 4 months of 2022 over 2021 due to stock issues with the PS5 and Xbox series.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga also revealed that it deserves to be featured due to its broken and previously announced recordings. Lego Game became the best introduction to a Lego game and was the best-selling physics game of the month.
