“Both battery technology and solar technology are European,” said Miguel Matias, director, co-founder and investor of LuxOEnergy, noting that LuxOEnergy is a partner in the Austrian photovoltaic company DAS Energy and the Swedish battery company Anodox.
Regarding the photovoltaic panels produced in Mora, Miguel Matias said that “the biggest difference is the flexible and very light technology,” which allows them to be installed in “previously impossible locations.” “They have the same strength, capacity and efficiency as traditional panels, but they are ten times lighter and can be installed on top of any building, whether that is a football stadium, a train station or even on trains or trucks,” he explained.
The focus on battery production is due to the need to store energy, “either to charge cars at the most logical time or to support solar PV plants,” the LuxOEnergy president said.
