The Municipality of Macapá will hold next Tuesday (31) the first Municipal Forum on Mental Health under the theme “Mental Health Policy as a Right: Towards Progress and Guarantee of Psychosocial Care Services in the SUS”. It will take place in the National Commercial Learning Service (Secac) auditorium, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The purpose of the event is to draw the attention of public bodies and the community about mental health care.

The Forum will conclude White January, an awareness month about mental health care, which has already had conversations with press specialists and programs for professionals and patients in basic health units (BHUs).

During the event, the Psychosocial Care Network (RAPS) and the services provided will be presented. The target audience are health, education and aid professionals and civil society.

Participation guarantees an 8-hour certification. You can register here: Link.

“Promoting access to mental health units is a fundamental right of a quality population. Therefore, it is necessary to create spaces for discussion in favor of social inclusion and the exercise of citizenship by service users and their families, and to encourage the active participation of all”, stresses the municipal mental health coordinator, Luana Nunes.
