Millions of followers have seen the change in the official Copa do Brasil profiles. This is because the CBF has lost control of the accounts renamed “Portal da Torqueda” since last Saturday night (15).

The reason for the change was the replacement of Copa do Brasil’s commercial agency. With the departure of Klefer, who had been producing tournament digital content for eight years, in December 2022, Brax Sports Assets has taken over.

A contractual clause allowed Klefer to manage accounts with millions of followers. For this, the agency just changed the name of Pages and issued a statement about the exchange.

The Copa do Brasil pages had a large number of followers and shares. My Instagram and Facebook accounts had 1.5 and 1.1 million followers, respectively.

Without owning the profiles on social networks, the CBF will now have to create other accounts to produce digital content about the tournament.

“Over the past eight seasons of Brazilian football, KLEFER has pioneered and developed an outstanding business in the world of sports by managing the brand, actions, activation and digital content of the Copa do Brasil, through light and open communication close to you,” the statement reads.

“For contractual reasons, as of today, the profiles are no longer exclusively dedicated to the Copa do Brasil and give way to the Portal da Torcida, a space to gather fans spread all over the country and continue our review with a lot of football, humor and interactions.”

He concluded, “We invite all of you to follow this new stage with the certainty that we will make history again!”
