Massive Entertainment has finally revealed its Star Wars project to the world, an open-world action-adventure game called Star Wars Outlaws, which centers on Kay Vess, an outlaw who will accept the most dangerous contracts to achieve her goals.
In a special session after Ubisoft Forward, Julian Gritti, Creative Director at Massive, subscriber Additional details revealed that Kai would abide by contracts that increase his reputation with the unions and participate in several optional activities that increase his reputation.
According to Gerighty, as her reputation increases, Kay will attract more attention to herself, and there are many decisions she will make that also help contribute to that. In addition to the guilds, Kai will be in the crosshairs of the Empire and the higher the wanted level, the more aggressive the forces pursuing her.
This is a system that looks very similar to what Rockstar implements in the GTA games, but here on a galactic scale and with the Empire taking over as the police.
Massive wants to take you to worlds where you make an impact through your actions and whether it’s huge locations you can explore or ship in space, many actions will have consequences like attracting more aggressive attention to Kay.
