The Saúde em Movimento programme, which offers free physical activities to residents in public spaces in João Pessoa, continues with its regular procedures on Mondays (31) and Tuesdays (1). But due to the long holiday, meetings only return next Monday (7).
The procedure, implemented by the municipality of Joao Pessoa, in partnership with the departments of health (SMS) and education and culture (Sedec), contains classes in more than 30 points, such as squares, health academies and health units in a family. In the morning, activities are held Monday through Friday, from 5:30 am to 7:30 am. In the afternoon and evening, lessons start from Monday to Thursday, from 17:00 to 19:00.
“On Monday and Tuesday, we will work normally, bringing health and quality of life to the residents of Joao Pessoa. After that, the professionals will have a break due to the holiday, but on Monday, November 7, we will be back with everything,” explained the project coordinator, Nicholas Travasos.
quality of life – Saúde em Movimento benefits an average of 4,000 people, which significantly improves the quality of life of the population and reduces diseases resulting from a sedentary lifestyle. The program also aims to create a habit of physical activity as a preventive measure for health.
