Santos begins registration for the flu vaccination for the bedridden elderly on Monday

The vaccination of bedridden elderly people living in Santos is scheduled to take place on May 24, according to information released by the city. However, registrations can now be made to ensure vaccination, from next Monday (17) until the 21st.

Registration can take place in all polyclinic units in the city, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., by relatives or caregivers of those who have been vaccinated. Currently, elderly people over the age of 60 who require health care at home are considered bedridden due to the impossibility of going to a polyclinic.

Whoever is served by the Home Care Department (Seadomi) does not need to register at this stage of vaccination, as registration in these cases is automatic.

It is necessary to bring a bedridden document to the clinic with a photo or proof of residency in addition to a medical report, prescription, examination or any other type of data proving the patient’s clinical condition.

During enrollment, a questionnaire will be filled out for a better evaluation by the nursing team about bedridden. Finally, a receipt will be delivered, which must be kept until the moment the vaccine is applied.
