The Colombian woman added, “I tried to hide the situation from my children. I try to do this to protect them, because this is my number one job. But they hear things at school and they see news that affects them.”
Music was a way to cure this disappointment. “Writing songs is like going to a psychiatrist, it’s cheaper. It’s one of the few tools I have for surviving these situations. My work allows me to pull myself together, and makes me realize who I am and what my mission is,” he said. So the music helped the artist “in the darkest times.”
