After USA Today shared rumors from a Swedish site about a possible deal between Amazon and Electronic Arts, several sources responded and indicated that nothing will be announced today.
CNBC put David Faber in a live commentary on the deal and the analyst said, “I’ve spoken to some people who really know if something’s going on and they’re saying nothing’s going on. Those are the people who are going to be involved, who have been involved when the parent company was talking to EA”.
Another well-known source that reacted was Jason Schreyer and says he hasn’t heard anything about the matter and asserts that the original source changed his article to say it was a rumor and something that “could happen”.

Series or movies inspired by EA’s intellectual property, from Mass Effect to Dragon Age and Dead Space, for example, with games that explore series and movies from Amazon Studios and expand the audience reach of all these efforts.
At the moment, no numbers have been provided, but USA Today confirms that the official announcement will be made today.
