WCristiano Ronaldo continues to fly in Saudi Arabia and helped Al-Nasr on Monday defeat Al-Ittihad 4-2, ending the match related to the 34th and final round of the Saudi Championship, with another score in his possession.
The Portuguese international became the player who scored the most goals in a single edition of the Saudi tournament. There were 35 goals in 31 matches and two of them came in this match.
Cristiano Ronaldo equaled the record before the end of the first half with a powerful shot in the 45th minute + 3. But the scoring streak did not stop there. The Madiran star wrote history, reaching 35 successful shots in one edition of the Saudi League and exceeding the maximum that Hamdallah had (34) since 2018/19.
The Portuguese star would then be substituted in the 74th minute, minutes after Al Menhali received a straight red card and left Al-Ittihad with a goal down. Before the 90th minute, Gharib equalized the final score from a penalty kick (78).
Also worth noting is the final reaction of the strangers. Al-Shamrani reduced the gap for the visitors in the 89th minute, before Fabinho scored in stoppage time (90+2), taking advantage of a missed penalty kick. Victory was achieved on the fourth goal by Al-Nimr in the end (90+4). Former Benfica player Jota Filippi did not leave the bench.
With this result, Al-Nasr finished the tournament in second place with 82 points. Al-Ittihad came in fifth place with 54 points.
