Demonstrators gathered on Saturday (24) afternoon, in the center of Macapa, to protest the government of President Jair Bolsonaro (no party). Participants wore masks and maintained a distance of 1.5 meters during the action.

The gathering began around 4 pm on Praça da Bandeira, on Avenida Fab, one of the main thoroughfares in the capital. From there, protesters marched to Piazza Floriano Peixoto.

The peaceful work ended around 6 pm. It was attended by members of political parties and social movements as well as citizens of civil society.

Coordination of work in Amapa led to the creation of the “Health Brigade” which was responsible for distributing 70% of alcohol and face masks. In addition, the demonstrators sought to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters throughout the route.

Among the allegations, they requested the dismissal of the President of the Republic, the defense of the dual campus of the Federal University of Amapá (Unifap), which is at risk of closing the history course, the return of emergency aid of R$600 and the defense of the purchase of Covid-19 vaccines.

The same act occurred in all 26 states, as well as the Federal District.
