Outright Games and Nickelodeon showcase new environments, co-op gameplay and Dino Island exploration inspired by upcoming film release
Outright Games and Nickelodeon have released the first gameplay trailer for PAW Patrol: Dino World, offering fans an extended look at the upcoming adventure title based on the prehistoric setting of the forthcoming “PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie™”.
The family-focused game is scheduled to launch on 31 July 2026 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, ahead of the global cinema release of the new feature film in August.
The latest trailer introduces several playable pups, new environments and additional non-playable characters (NPCs), while also providing a first glimpse of Dino Plains, one of the major regions players will explore across Dino Island.
Developed with younger audiences in mind, PAW Patrol: Dino World combines exploration, rescue missions and cooperative gameplay in what publishers describe as an accessible experience for preschool players and families.
New trailer highlights expanded playable roster and dinosaur-themed gameplay
The gameplay footage confirms that alongside returning characters Chase, Marshall and Skye, players will also be able to control Zuma, Rubble and Rocky during missions across the island.
Each pup brings individual abilities and vehicles designed to support different rescue scenarios and environmental challenges. Zuma will be able to swim and dive during underwater rescue sequences, while Rubble uses his jackhammer to clear debris and break obstacles blocking progression routes. Rocky, meanwhile, uses a repair kit to restore damaged mechanisms and pathways throughout the island.
The game’s design appears to centre heavily on teamwork and varied mission structures, encouraging players to switch between characters depending on terrain and objectives.
According to the publisher, players can complete the story in solo mode or participate in two-player co-op gameplay, allowing families and younger players to tackle missions together.
Dino Plains becomes first revealed region from Dino Island
The newly unveiled Dino Plains region serves as the first major explorable area officially revealed from Dino Island.
The environment features large open valleys, rocky landscapes and water-based areas intended to showcase the pups’ distinct abilities and vehicle mechanics. Dinosaurs also roam throughout the region, creating rescue opportunities and interactive moments as players progress through missions.
While Dino Plains is the first confirmed area shown publicly, Outright Games said additional locations from Dino Island will be revealed closer to release.
The game also introduces several characters connected to the upcoming film adaptation. Ryder, leader of the PAW Patrol team, will coordinate rescue operations throughout the story, while palaeontologists Eugenia and Heidi — characters appearing in “PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie™” — guide players through the prehistoric setting.
The integration of characters and locations from the forthcoming film highlights the growing strategy among entertainment companies to align game releases more closely with wider franchise launches across cinema and consumer products.
Family gaming remains key focus for Outright Games
Founded in 2016, Outright Games has built its business around licensed family entertainment titles, partnering with major media companies including Hasbro, Warner Bros., NBCUniversal and Nickelodeon.
The publisher has previously released games tied to franchises including Peppa Pig, Justice League, Star Trek Prodigy and DreamWorks Dragons. Its existing PAW Patrol titles, including Paw Patrol: Grand Prix, have helped position the company as a prominent publisher in the children’s gaming market.
The release of PAW Patrol: Dino World continues a broader trend within the games industry towards cross-platform licensed entertainment experiences targeting younger audiences and family households.
Nickelodeon, which marks its 47th year in operation in 2026, remains one of the world’s largest children’s entertainment brands, spanning television, digital media, consumer products, publishing and film production.
The new game arrives as Paramount-owned Nickelodeon continues expanding the PAW Patrol franchise through feature films, merchandise and interactive entertainment.
Outright Games said the title has been specifically designed to encourage exploration, teamwork and problem-solving in an age-appropriate format tailored to younger players.
The newly released gameplay trailer is now available online, with the game launching globally on 31 July 2026.
