TheStrikes are scheduled for August 26 and 31 and September 8 and 9, explained Dave Ward, general secretary of the Communications Workers Union (CWU).
According to the union, “postal workers are being pushed over the edge.”
Dave Ward noted that the former state-owned company, which was privatized between 2013 and 2015, expected an average wage increase of 2%, when UK inflation rose to 9.4% in June.
“We cannot continue to live in a country where employers receive several million benefits while their employees have to go to food banks,” the CWU Secretary General emphasized.
