In a press conference held today, Saturday. The day pearl jam will performÁlvaro Coffey, director of Everything New, has announced the dates for the 2025 edition of the NOS Alive Festival: July 10, 11 and 12. According to figures provided by the organization, around 165,000 people have passed through the current edition, spread over the three days of the festival.

Assuming that NOS Alive is a reference not only in the municipality of Oeiras, but also “in Lisbon, in Portugal and perhaps throughout Europe”, the mayor of Oeiras, Isaltino Moraes, who was also present at the conference, emphasized the “extraordinary transformations in the next five years” in terms of space and accessibility.

Concretely, Álvaro Cóves said that NOS Alive “will add hectares to the river, which means that this area will be expanded” and that the festival will be “closer to the sea, with a much better perspective”.

The work surrounding the 17th edition of the festival will begin on July 15, with a promise from Álvaro Cóveis: “I hope we live up to the best lineup ever.” The three days of this edition brought together 124 artists – “we only had two victims, and they were quickly replaced,” recalls Cóveis – distributed across seven stages, including the Fado Café and the Palco Comédia.

The director of Everything New leaves some criticism: “We live in a country where people think these art forms have no place” at an event like NOS Alive, Also noting his recent stint in Posto Emissor, from BLITZIn which he said, “November 25 has not yet reached culture.”

Citing data from the National Institute of Statistics, Coveyes also revealed that Oeiras is the second municipality in the country with the largest number of spectators. He stressed that the objectives set by the festival “were achieved and the public joined in”.
