Last Sunday (16), the management of Fernando de Noronha, through the Sanitary Supervision, together with the partner companies, participated in an activity in the Vila dos Remedios Square in reference to the Day of the Dental Surgeon, which was celebrated on the 25th, and to the children. Month. About 400 people attended the event, including children, teens and adults. During the celebration, recreational activities were carried out to promote oral health of children on the island.
“On October 25, we celebrated Dentist Day, and in 2022, the Oral Hygiene team met a group of partners and participated in the Children’s Day party. At the party, we handed out 400 dental kits and gave instructions on oral hygiene. Health monitoring was present through the Oral Health Centre, which enhanced the event on the island even more,” said the Director of Oral Health, Yida Vidal.
The event included storytelling activities, giant puppets, bouncers, ball pit, and distribution of toys, bags and objects (cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream, cake, sausage and water). Oral hygiene kits were also donated with a “message from the teeth”: brushing your teeth after eating sweets and sweets. Then, a bicycle, a makeup bag, and five digital examinations were pulled out (testing was done with a high-resolution intraoral camera).
