Inspired by Big Brother Brazil, the municipality of Araxá launched the “Big Dog Araxá” dog adoption campaign, with the aim of encouraging adoption. On social networks, posts accompanying the photo of the puppy with the name, characteristics and information about neutering, vaccinations and deworming are published.

The “Big Dog Araxá” campaign presents the animals as if they were “brothers” and “sisters” of the most guarded house in the country. In this version, nine dogs take pictures in hopes of finding a safe and loving home.

The health surveillance coordinator, Leninha Severo, explains that the goal of the campaign is to find a permanent home for the participating pup. “At Municipal Kennel, we have more than 100 dogs available for adoption, and the aim of the ‘Big Dog Araxá’ campaign is for people to get to know these little dogs better who dream of having a home and a family,” he adds.

Those interested in adopting a puppy should go directly to the Municipal Kennel, which is located at Rua Camarões, No. 125, in the Novo Horizonte district. More information, by calling (34) 99257-1363 or (34) 3691-3318.
