Ómicron’s BA.5 variant may cause various symptoms, including symptoms that appear overnight, as confirmed by an immunologist quoted by the British newspaper “The Independent” – scientists have noted some differences between complementary and previous strains, including the ability to re-infection. People weeks after contracting Covid-19.

Luke O’Neill of Trinity College Dublin noted, “An additional symptom of BA.5 that I’ve seen is night sweats.” BA.5 has been responsible for the increase in positive cases in many countries and has even become the predominant variant in the United States. “The disease is a little different because the virus has changed,” the immunologist noted.

“There’s some immunity to that — obviously with T cells — and that combination of your immune system and a slightly different virus can lead to a slightly different disease and, characteristically, oddly enough, night sweats.”

The BA.5 sub-element was first detected in South Africa last February, a month after BA.4 was identified in the same country. Both have spread around the world and raised concern about a resurgence of the Covid-19 infection, which could still increase with the arrival of cooler weather.
