The Malhada Chamber reports that it approved, at the last executive meeting, the conditions for accepting the transfer of competencies in the field of health, “provided that the government complies with several conditions that have already been negotiated, related to works, an increase in operational assistants and the delivery of vehicles to the teams providing health care.”

The statement stated, “The decision to accept comes after several negotiations with the government and assuming that they are adhered to and included in the annex to the transfer notice.”

According to the municipality, the conditions revolve around three points: construction, with the central administration taking over and financing the necessary works, as well as projects and supervising them, which exceed two million euros, with a commitment to completion by 2026; Delivering three new electric vehicles equipped to provide health care as well as transporting at least 10 operational assistants.

The Chamber’s decision is subject to the approval of the Milahada Municipal Council, which will meet on September 20.

Direct speech

He added: “From the negotiations we conducted, these three points became clear and agreed upon, and I will not give up on them. In terms of works, it is planned to renovate the Milhada Health Center, build a new center in Pampilhosa, redesign the Luso Center, and build a new center in Vacaresa. We want these works to be registered with the PRR and to remain at no cost to the Municipality of Milháda. The amounts to be transferred must also be updated on the basis of actual costs and not on the basis of previous years. -Antonio Jorge Franco, President of the Chamber.
