Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (KTM) considered taking a “step forward” in the RC16 settings on Saturday for the German MotoGP GP, which he will start from 14th place. The Portuguese driver, despite remaining in the first qualifying stage, Q1, was sixth fastest in the fourth session of free practice, indicating that he has a good racing speed.

“Overall, it was a good session. [de treinos]. I felt I had a good pace in all the free practice sessions and even the quick laps were good,” the Almada-born pilot stressed, in comments published by KTM.

Miguel Oliveira made it clear that he missed the pass to the second qualifying stage, Q2, because he caught too many riders on the track. “I had a good first lap, but on the second try I got a lot of traffic on the circuit,” confirmed the Portuguese driver.

However, Miguel Oliveira believes he can “get a good race” on Sunday and add “more points” than he has achieved in the past few races. “We have improved our lap times compared to last year [em que foi segundo classificado na corrida]The pace isn’t bad, and the conditions are a little worse. It’s a step forward,” concluded Miguel Oliveira.

The MotoGP German GP is the tenth race of the season. Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) reached the championship leader with 147 points, while Miguel Oliveira ranked 11th with 57 points.
