Microsoft is all too willing to move forward with buying Activision Blizzard without the UK’s consent, which could mean moving the Call of Duty owner’s headquarters to another European country and changing the way it does business in the region.

According to Bloomberg, Brad Smith, Vice President of Microsoft, will return to the UK to give a presentation on the potential of artificial intelligence and the need to implement regulations on its use, but he will also meet with British politicians.

Between talks, Smith will talk about blocking the Activision Blizzard deal and according to a confirmation from a Microsoft representative, he also intends to talk to politicians about ways to solve the issues that led to the competition authority blocking the deal.

Those talks will take place before the Court of Appeal hearing, where Microsoft is trying to win the right to talk to the competition authority again, but Bloomberg says many British politicians are also upset about the ban.

One possible solution could be to move forward with the business without the UK, moving Activision’s headquarters to another European country and continuing to sell games in that region through a distributor.
