The MELOM and Querido Mudei a Casa Obras (QMACO) franchise network has released its sales results for the first half of 2024, reporting global sales of €14.8 million.

The data shows that the brand registered 5,224 applications for business budgets, resulting in a volume of 654 awards, with a focus on April, which saw 128 businesses awarded.

As for the average value of work, MELOM recorded an increase of 7.5% compared to the previous quarter, reaching 22,713 euros in the first quarter of 2024, supported by the rise in the costs of construction materials and qualified labor in the sector.

During this period, there were 2,911 requests for general renovations, 720 requests for manual work and installations, 612 requests for kitchen renovations, 599 requests for bathroom renovations and finally 328 requests for painting. The Casa de Sonho project, an integrated service developed in partnership with RE/MAX that includes the entire permitting and construction of the housing project, registered 46 requests from clients for the construction of homes between January and June.

“The results of the first half of the year reflect the new positioning strategy of the MELOM and Querido Mudei a Casa brands. “We have implemented a network restructuring plan with the aim of increasing the level of service for all clients, who are looking for the best professionals in the sector in our brands,” highlights João Carvalho, co-founder of MELOM Obras.

The person in charge also adds that “with the restructuring we carried out in 2023, choosing to exit businesses that were not core to our business, we were able to be closer to the franchisee network by building new methodologies with the aim of focusing on quality renovations. The strategy we are following to open new physical stores contributes to the growth, which we believe will be recorded in the next semester.
