Maluma used social media yesterday to share 12-year-old Bastian’s reaction upon entering the new home the singer had helped renovate to introduce to him. It’s Bastian and his family’s new home.
The beginning of the story goes back to 2021 when she met Maluma Bastian, a young Colombian fan battling advanced cancer. Upon learning about the boy’s story and learning about the family’s needs, the singer promised him a new home. and complied. The relationship between the two is private and there have been many episodes and gestures of friendship shared on Maluma’s accounts. Despite everything he taught him, the Colombian star called Bastian a “life teacher.”
In 2022 – about two months ago – Maluma took Bastian to the house that, at the time, still needed a job to be habitable. The moment, also captured on video, was especially emotional. That day, Maluma handed Bastian a note that said, “Since I’ve met you, I’ve always told you that dreams can come true.” Reading the friend’s letter, the boy and his mother were clearly moved. “I’ll say a few words,” Bastian said when he realized he had just got a house. “Fight for your dreams. Your dreams come true. Don’t stop fighting. Sometimes it takes time, but it happens.”
Now that the house has been completely renovated, Maluma showed Bastian the result, giving him a guided tour that ended in tears.
