The Maine Election Commission has ordered Donald Trump removed from the state's primary ballot to choose the Republican nominee for next year's presidential election. Reuters said. This is the second decision in the same direction. Colorado had already decided that Trump would not appear on ballots in the primary elections, citing his involvement in the attack on the Capitol building in January 2021. This decision is still subject to the decision of the state Supreme Court.

Colorado was the first state to block Trump's nomination. The Colorado Supreme Court ruled that the former president is ineligible to return to public office, meaning his name will not appear on Republican primary ballots in that state.
