Eight Luxor flights connecting Luxembourg and London, England, Dublin, Ireland and Berlin, Germany were canceled this Friday due to Hurricane Eunice. Both flights to and from Munich on Thursday were canceled.

In a statement, the airline said it had to make changes to its flight plans on Thursday and Friday following “weather forecasts related to Eunice storms”, “as a result of the cancellation or delay of some flights”.

The interior minister, Dina Boferting, coordinated the meteorological crisis unit, which doubles the alert to be alert with alerts on several official channels, such as the “Covert” app. Authorities are asking people to stay indoors in the afternoon.

In all, Luxair scheduled 64 flights this Friday, the 18th. Of these, eight had to be canceled “due to strong winds that hit some airports in Luxembourg and Luxembourg.”

In the morning, four flights to and from London (LG4591 and LG4592 and LG4595 and LG4596) were canceled as London City Airport was closed until 4pm (local time) due to strong winds. All passengers have been transferred to other flights.

In the afternoon, Luxor announced that flights to and from Dublin (LG4883 and LG4884) had been canceled and all passengers had been diverted to Sunday (20th), as well as flights to and from Berlin (LG9473 and LG9474).

On Thursday morning, both flights to and from Munich (LG9731 and LG9732) were canceled and all passengers were transferred to the evening flight.

The airline also said that “other flights could be affected and / or delayed” due to the strong winds forecast for Luxembourg and other European countries this Friday.
