Hospital Luciadas Santa María da Feira (which will be located on Professor Dotor Seraphim Pinto Guimarães Avenue) will be the group’s first unit in the Aveiro region and the fourth in the northern region. It is scheduled to open in the fourth quarter and is the result of a partnership with Atrys Health. The investment is expected to exceed two million euros in medical equipment for the first year, and the new hospital will contain an operating room available for various surgical specialties.

Regarding the clinical team, this new outpatient unit will include more than 100 health professionals, divided into different specialties, including the fields of nuclear medicine, oncology, radiology and radiotherapy, thanks to the partnership with Atrys Health.

In addition to the Hospital Lucíadas Santa Maria da Feira, the group plans to make other investments from the north to the south of the country with the aim of “responding to the clinical needs of the Portuguese and, in this way, reducing the current regional disparity in access to services.” To health care.” About 60 million euros will be allocated to the North region alone, which includes investment in the new unit, as well as the expansion of Hospital Lucíadas Porto and Hospital Lucíadas Braga.

In the Algarve, the Lusíadas Saúde Group will also open the Lusíadas Vilamoura Hospital (already announced) – the first hospital in the south of the country dedicated exclusively to outpatient surgery – as well as expanding existing units.

According to Luciadas Saudi, the strategic expansion plan is in line with the commitment of the French group Vivalto Santi, the company’s shareholder. “We started by creating units providing clinical care in large population areas, such as Lisbon and Porto (which today are a reference in terms of offer and innovation), and now we continue, with ambition, to expand our skills to new strategic areas. “of the country, especially in areas where the provision of private healthcare is scarce,” Vasco Antunes Pereira, CEO of Lusíadas Saúde, highlights in a statement.
