LG Electronics has just unveiled the new, efficient LG DUALCOOL residential air conditioner at MCE 2024 – one of the largest HVAC solutions exhibitions in Europe – in Milan. Utilizing LG's latest air technology, including Soft Air Function that contributes to greater comfort, the new DUALCOOL provides a pleasant indoor environment all year round.

The new advanced model integrates a dual port structure that provides fast and improved temperature control and smooth, indirect airflow so users are not directly affected. Equipped with the efficient and reliable Dual Inverter Heat Compressor, LG's innovative air conditioner operates consistently in any season and has an A+++ energy efficiency rating.
Comfortable airflow
The Soft Air function allows users to enjoy personalized cooling and a gentle, indirect breeze. When this function is activated, the lower flap is closed so that only air is emitted through the front outlet. This way, instead of being directed at the level of someone sitting or walking, the airflow comes down from the ceiling for a cool, refreshing experience.
By incorporating the innovative DUAL Vane system, the LG DUALCOOL air conditioner radiates hot or cold air in multiple directions to provide fast and effective temperature control. Independent fins help extend the airflow range to 22 metres, which represents a 22% increase compared to previous models. It also outperforms single-fin solutions by 23% in cooling and 6% in heating. Moreover, the new air conditioner prioritizes user comfort with its efficient airflow delivery method, directing air up and down from head height during cooling and directing airflow downward towards the floor during warming up.
The DUALCOOL model also integrates a human detection sensor, which calculates the distance between the air conditioner and the room occupants and changes the airflow mode (direct or indirect) accordingly. Users can adjust the sensor settings so that, based on its proximity to the indoor unit, DUALCOOL produces direct, indirect or forceful airflow.
Proactive energy saving
As energy prices continue to rise in the EU, European consumers are increasingly prioritizing efficiency when looking for new heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) solutions for the home. Equipped with a dual inverter heat pump compressor as well as several smart energy management features, the DUALCOOL air conditioner can help reduce the cost of home climate control. Having achieved a European Energy Product (ErP) rating of A+++, the new model delivers year-round efficiency with a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) of 9.5 in cooling operations and a Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SCOP) of 5.1 in heating.
DUALCOOL users can save energy by setting electricity consumption goals with kW Manager. Through the ThinQ application, energy consumption can be monitored in real time, and the user can be alerted if the specified target is exceeded. By regularly monitoring electricity consumption and analyzing operational information, kW Manager can determine the most energy efficient operating range for a variety of different scenarios.
Providing another way to help reduce operating costs, DUALCOOL's Human Detection Sensor automatically puts the air conditioner into energy saving mode if no person is detected in the room. Meanwhile, the window opening detection feature can also prevent energy waste by activating the energy saving mode if the temperature in the room suddenly rises or falls.
Easy and convenient care of the indoor unit
The convenient auto-clean feature automatically dries the interior of the DUALCOOL, which contributes to cleanliness by removing any moisture and thus preventing mold formation. To help keep the inside of your air conditioner clean during the colder months of the year, the Freeze Clean feature defrosts the heat exchanger to effectively remove bacteria, dust, debris and odor-causing contaminants.
