On Friday, October 14, Jorge Gabriel was on the TVI program “Goucha”, talking to Manuel Luís Goucha. The RTP1 presenter spoke about his professional but also personal life, remembering his father Albano, who left in January 2021.

Jorge Gabriel began to participate in the “man to man” conversation he had with his father and in which it was decided that he was going to a house, after falling into the house, where he lives alone.

“We had a frank conversation, he was sitting on the bed (…) and I said ‘What are we going to do? ‘ And he said, with tears in his eyes, ‘I will not go to nursing homes, and I will not bear with old people’ (…) And I said to him, ‘Either you will live with me or Anna, my sister, or you will look for someone from your family. your family or we are looking for a solution, you can’t go on alone “…”He remembers.

The RTP1 presenter revealed that Albano stated “with tears in his eyes” that he would go to a house but not to a place where he would feel bad: “He said he had to check where he was going, and then I got help from a journalist from that house, a friend of mine, who took me to Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Amadora, where we were able to get a placement and where he turned out very well He was treated until the last days of his life.”

Jorge Gabriel later asserted that he had inherited “strictness, study, and satiety” from his father and ended up being joyful: “I miss my father so much.”
