According to internet reports, the bug first appeared in the last week of December 2021 and is still affecting some people. In Downdetector, some comments like: “I can’t see who viewed my stories” appear on the site, which also records complaints about the Instagram feed not updating.

Recently, a Meta spokesperson spoke about the complaints the app received after users reported that the social network was disconnecting on its own and displaying the message: “The connection has been disconnected.” The company acknowledged the instability and said it was working more and more to improve the platform.
