Former US President Donald Trump said in a speech on Saturday evening that Vladimir Putin is “a smart man of course” but “the main problem is that our leaders are stupid and allow him to continue this attack on humanity.” In that speech, in which he also praised Volodymyr Zelensky – “He’s a brave man, he’s a stickler…” – Trump, while in the White House, said, “Putin respected America.”

As Russian forces entered Ukraine late last week, Trump referred to Putin as a “genius” and praised the Russian president’s strategic gifts, though he did not say he approved of what Putin was doing.
Along the same lines, once again deeming President Putin a “smart” leader, Trump said the Russian president “does whatever he wants” to US President Joe Biden. “It’s not nice to look at,” Donald Trump added.
I have no doubt that Putin made this decision [de invadir a Ucrânia] After witnessing the pathetic exit of the United States from Afghanistan,” he shot Donald Trump, asserting that “during our administration, Putin respected America.”
