Due to health problems, the Galvão sisters’ career ended after 74 years. Marie Galvão, 81, was a sister duo Marilyn, 79. They sang together for another seven decades, but unfortunately they would have to leave the stage.
Because she has Alzheimer’s disease, Marilyn’s memory is affected and she can no longer remember the lyrics. “Unfortunately, she doesn’t remember the lyrics, she doesn’t remember anything anymore. It’s very sad,” Marie said of her sister in an interview with André Piunti.

He added, “I love my sister very, very much. I will always visit her. So much love, for everything we’ve been through together, always giving support to each other. This love will never end, no.”
